Valencia Walker – “Atlanta’s Runway Diva” | Runway Model / Runway Coach
Valencia Walker, widely known as Atlanta’s Runway Diva, was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia. Her passion for modeling began at just nine years old. During a school career day, she initially visited the nursing station—following her mother’s wish for her to become a nurse—while the other girls flocked to the modeling booth. When they returned with compact mirrors and makeup bags, and she returned with only a nursing pamphlet, she felt an immediate spark. In that moment, she made a decision: she wanted to pursue modeling. That same year, she produced and walked in her very first fashion show—on the playground during recess.
At nineteen, Valencia auditioned for a show at Morehouse College. It was then she realized that the “cute little girl walk” she’d created at nine wouldn’t cut it in the professional fashion world. Determined to improve, she began studying runway technique by watching the E! Channel—long before YouTube made fashion training accessible. Thanks to her natural confidence and signature swagger, mastering the runway came quickly.
By age twenty-two, Valencia entered a pageant for Bovanti Cosmetics, which led to becoming one of their signature models. That opportunity ignited a lifelong professional journey. Over the years, her walk has evolved into the confident, strong, and poised strut she is known for today—making her a favorite among fashion show producers, designers, photographers, hairstylists, makeup artists, and fellow models. Valencia is often celebrated for possessing that undeniable IT factor.
Among her many proud achievements, one moment stands out: in 2015 she walked for Lisa Nicole Cloud—formerly of Married to Medicine—in the Fashion for a Cause Show in New York City. That milestone affirmed her place in the fashion world and remains one of her most meaningful accomplishments.
In 2011, her passion for runway and fashion grew into a professional business venture. Valencia began training women and girls from all walks of life, focusing not only on runway skills but on poise, presence, and confidence—qualities that empower individuals far beyond the runway. Her mission reflects her belief that you don’t need to be an aspiring model to learn how to carry yourself with excellence.
Although she loves coaching, runway modeling will always be her first love. One of her ultimate dreams is to walk in the Annual Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. While some may call the dream ambitious, Valencia believes deeply that it is still within reach. After all, life stops the moment you stop dreaming—and she plans to keep dreaming boldly, living fully, and inspiring others for years to come.
Runway Coaching
I currently offer runway coaching for women and girls ages 5 and up. My classes are 2 hours long and will focus on runway techniques,poise, posing. posture and confidence. These classes are great for someone who's never modeled as well as aspiring models who want to perfect their walk . I also have techniques for ladies who are looking to have that poised and confident swag as they enter a room for a class reunion or event. Motivational Speaking
I am now available for motivational speaking engagements . My speeches focus on never giving up on your dreams and believing in yourself no matter what obstacles you face. As a little girl I was not accepted by my peers because I was tall skinny and lanky. For that reason I was picked on a lot. But through it all I believed that I could be much more. I'd like to share my story of how I continued to believe in myself through non support, bad relationships and a stagnant job to persevere toward greatness. I will share my story as a source of inspiration for other women and young girls.
